Seminar for Judges from ASEAN Countries in the People’s Republic of China
From 9 to 24 October 2025, Mr. Suchart Wongsinnak, Judge of the Phetchaburi Administrative Court, temporarily serving as President of a Chamber of the Central Administrative Court, was assigned by the President of the Supreme Administrative Court to represent the Administrative Court of Thailand in the “Seminar for Judges from ASEAN Countries”, held at the National Judges College in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
The seminar was hosted by the National Judges College to promote academic cooperation and the exchange of experiences in judicial affairs and the administration of justice between ASEAN member countries and the People’s Republic of China. Participants in this seminar included representatives from all ten ASEAN member countries: Brunei Darussalam, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the Federation of Malaysia, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
During the seminar, participants attended lectures on various legal and judicial topics, including the application of modern technology in court administration, as well as Chinese legal culture and philosophy. They also had opportunities to visit and observe judicial proceedings at the Beijing People’s Court, the Beijing Internet Court, and the People’s Court in Qingdao, Shandong Province. In addition, participants visited important cultural and economic sites to gain a deeper understanding of China’s legal system within its broader social and cultural context.
